Lost Wax Casting, Part 1

The main outcome of this brief was the Lost Wax Casting process. I have documented the process by taking as many images as possible to reference every stage of this long process. As well as keeping a very thorough technical notebook on the process. Seen below:
From making a metal master to finally having beautiful cast silver multiples.
Firstly, I created my metal master which was then sandwiched between layers of rubber creating a unique rubber mould to create lots of wax multiples.

After creating lots of wax multiples I sprue them up on a 'tree' ready for casting. I then calculate the weight of the wax 'tree' and figure out how much silver I need.
