Finished Pieces

Throughout this project and past briefs I have developed a love for the material, paper. Which I decided I must find a solution as to how I would physically encase and incorporate the paper into any jewellery pieces. For the Lost Wax Casting unit I realised that this was my opportunity to create something unique that would help me add my beautiful paper pieces into my designs. My solution was a 'paper' setting, strong and protective exactly like a stone setting but created to suit paper.

When I started creating my final pieces I really found my flow working with my handmade 'paper' settings and manipulated paper. The combination of the clean silver and the different sized and coloured paper really created a great comparison and link to my 'place' and my sketchbook.

Final pieces seen below, 4 pairs of earrings and a necklace piece.
